How can fractions be converted on the TI-34 II Explorer Plus?
The TI-34 II Explorer Plus will convert to decimals, fractions, mixed numbers, and improper fractions. To do these conversions follow the instructions listed below:
Converting a Fraction to Decimal form: (Ex. 1/4)
Enter 1, press [/], and enter 4
Press [D] and then press [ENTER]
.25 will be displayed
Converting a Decimal to Fraction form: (Ex. .75)
Enter .75
Press [F] for converting to Fraction
Now press [ENTER]
75/100 will be displayed
Now press [SIMP] then [ENTER]
15/20 will be displayed
Now press [SIMP then [ENTER]
3/4 will be displayed
Entering a mixed fraction: (Ex. 1 2/3)
Enter 1 and press [Unit]
Enter 2, press [/], and then enter 3
To Convert to improper fraction form: (Ex. 1 2/3)
Enter 1 and press [Unit]
Enter 2, press [/], and then enter 3
Now press [2nd] [D] and press [ENTER]
5/3 will be displayed
