How do I calculate combinations and permutations on the TI-36X Pro?

The examples below will demonstrate how to calculate combinations and permutations on the TI-36X Pro scientific calculator.

Example 1: What are the combinations of 4 choosing 2?

Solution:

1) Press [4] [!nCr nPr] [!nCr nPr]. This is the key located in the third column, third row.
2) Press [2] [enter].
3) The solution will be shown as 6.

Example 2: What are the permutations of 4 choosing 2?

Solution:

1) Press [4] [!nCr nPr] [!nCr nPr] [!nCr nPr].
2) Press 2 and enter.
3) The solution will be shown as 12.
