Solution 15302: Connecting a TI-83 Plus Family or TI-84 Plus Family Calculator to the TI-SmartView™ 3.1 Emulator Software.

Can I send a program from my TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus family calculator directly to the TI-SmartView 3.1 emulator software?

To do this, please follow the below steps:

• Connect the TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus family calculator to the computer using a TI-GRAPH LINK USB (silver) cable.

Note: The Direct USB cable that comes along with the TI-84 Plus family calculator is not supported and will not connect to the TI-SmartView 3.1 emulator software.

• Open the TI-SmartView emulator software, click on the "Tools" menu and select "Establish Connection."

• If the TI-SmartView 3.1 emulator software successfully connects to the TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus family calculator, it should detect as:

Port: USB 1
Cable: USB Silverlink Cable
Device: TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus family

• Left-click on this connection and then click the "Select" button.
• Put the TI-SmartView 3.1 emulator software into "receive" mode by pressing [2nd] [X,T,Ө,n] [right arrow key] [ENTER].
• To send a program from the TI-83 Plus/TI-84 Plus family calculator, press [2nd] [X,T,Ө,n] [3] to access PRGM in the LINK menu. This will bring up a list of all the programs currently stored on the calculator.
• Using the arrow keys, move the cursor next to the program to be sent and press [ENTER]. This will place a square marker next to the program name. Multiple programs can be selected as well by going to another program name and pressing [ENTER]. When finished, press [right arrow key] [ENTER].
